MyResearchAdvisor exists to reduce cognitive overload, preserve clear records, and help users work through noisy information without turning the system into an authority figure, a persuasive feed, or a dependency trap.

Non-negotiables

No ads, no dark patterns The system is not optimized for clicks, dependency, or emotional steering. No engagement loops, no nudges toward more usage.
Tools assist; they do not decide AI and automation can structure work, but they do not replace human judgment or authority. The user decides. The tool organizes.
Evidence before confidence Unknown stays unknown. Working theories stay labeled. The system does not smooth ambiguity into certainty or present inference as fact.
You own the record Data belongs to the user. Exports are plain and portable. No proprietary lock-in, no records held hostage to subscription status.

What the product optimizes for

Tools, not feeds Each tool has a specific, legible purpose instead of collapsing everything into one endless interface.
Local-first defaults Hosted or cloud services can accelerate work, but they should not be required for the core system to remain usable.
Portable records User-owned data, simple exports, and plain logs matter more than lock-in or proprietary mystery.
Runtime posture

Three operating modes

The archive material was consistent on one important point: cloud is convenience, not identity. The product should still make sense if external APIs disappear.

Mode 1 · Self Entirely local

Uses local storage and optional local inference. Zero network dependency for core use.

Mode 2 · Accelerated Local system plus rented compute

Optional external inference can speed work, but API loss should not break the workflow.

Mode 3 · Hosted Hosted package

Cloud storage and sync can exist, but the same core records and exports must stay portable.

Tool surface

Each tool stays task-specific and public-safe. Tools can be rich and interactive without importing company-level marketing language. Public routes do not expose internal ids, timing telemetry, or storage internals.
